A thought has been in our mind for the last few days...
In this new year for our life and ministry we are after God's anointing
in everything we do. Interesting enough lately we have been busy with the thought on how we make olive oil.
Listening and watching the video we heard few thing who spoke volume to our situation as godly leaders. We know that the leaders of God are being anointed. When we are in the process to abstract the oil from an olive we notice few things.
1 first you smell it at the door
2 everything in the environment is cover with oil
3 they are being wash
4 they are being squah
5 then the liquid is separated from the oil
6 Everything taste better
7 It's impossible to 'cook' without it
For us it spoke very loud. People should be able to smell the presence of God in everything we do
Our work should be cover by a light layer of the God's anointing. The Olive oil represents the presence of God.
To have such result in our ministry and live we have to go through a tough process.
First we may go through a cleaning process. The thought of purifying fire crossed my mind. Imagine the fire purifying the gold. Very intense and certainly painful. Anyway the all process of the purifying fire will be the content of another day. :-)
In this cleaning process all our junk and issues is exposed. We all have junk and God exposes it and gives us many opportunities to deal with it and get rit of it. All the junk God expose in our life and heart we are responsible to deal with it. When we do deal with it, it will be the equivalent of being wash.
I wish I could tell you that from there is get better. But the truth is that it's not the case. It gets even more intense. Which is interesting because often we think that now that we deal with our junk everything should be smooth and easy. But the opposite happen. The truth its that it gets so much tougher that we can faint before the real process begin.
A old saying said 'our misery will become our ministry'. In other word what we will have experienced will determine our ministry. This stage will allow us to stop to go through our spiritual routine -- saying the right things, the right verses that we have heard all our life or again what we know what we should say -- but from that moment on we will talk from a different place. A place where we saw and experienced the hand of God in a mighty and powerful way.
The lady in the video says it best "everything tastes better". Everything we will teach or do, EVERYTHING will taste better.
After going through such process we will know like never before that's impossible to go without it. Before stepping into such process and being fully conscient of the pain awaiting for us or the insecurities that could be revealed can make us lean to not step in it.
The truth is when you do and see God step in a mighty way in your life... you KNOW that's IMPOSSIBLE to cook without it.

Over twee dagen beginnen we met een 21-dagen uitdaging
We hopen dat je met ons meedoet.
We lopen al een paar dagen rond met deze gedacht: In het nieuwe jaar willen we opzoek naar Gods anointing/zalving in alles wat we doen.
Kijkend naar deze video zagen we overeenkomsten met onze rol als God-Liefhebende-Leiders!
Als je kijkt naar het proces van 'olijf-olie maken' dan zie je de volgende kenmerken:
1. Je ruikt de olie al bij de voordeur.
2. Alles in de omgeving zit onder een laag met olie
3. Olijven worden gewassen
4. Olijven worden geperst
5. De vloeistof word geschijden van olijf
6. Alles smaakt beter
7. Olijfolie is gezonder
Dit sprak ons erg aan. Mensen zouden de aanwezigheid van God moeten kunnen 'ruiken' in alles wat we doen.
Ons hele werk zou onder een laagje olie moeten zitten.
Om zo'n resultaat te behalen in onze bediening en leven moeten we door een moeilijk proces.
Eerst moeten we 'schoon gemaakt' worden. De gedachte van vuur waarin goud puur gemaakt word schiet door mn hoofd, maar dat is een blog voor een andere dag.
In dit schoonmaak process wordt er afgerekend met al onze 'vuile was'. God zal het ons kenbaar maken, en ons vele mogelijkheden geven er iets mee te doen. Als we er wat mee doen, zal God het schoon kunnen wassen. Ieder stuk. Zelfs de vuile onderbroeken. Alles schoon.
Hierna wordt het alleen nog maar intensiever. Appart want we denken vaak dat het makkelijker zal gaan als we eenmaal van onze zonden af zijn. Maar het tegenovergestelde is waar. De 'moeite' wordt vaak eerst erger voordat het beter wordt.
Hier wordt onze moeilijkheid onze mogelijkheid! Wat we hier meemaken bepaald welke bediening onze bediening krijgt.
We zullen niet meer blijven hangen in een boodschap die we al (vele) malen eerder afgeleverd hebben. Nee - we kunnen nu van een nieuwe ervaring spreken! Een ervaring waar we Gods hand op een machtige en krachtige manier evoeren.
In de video zegt de dame dat alles 'beter smaakt'. Alles wat we dan overbrengen zal ook beter smaken! ALLES!!!
Wanneer we zo'n process meemaken weten we als nooit tevoren dat het onmogelijk is om het zonder te doen. Voordat we zo'n process instappen moeten we ons realiseren dat het een pijnlijk process kan zijn (denk maar aan Jezus in de woestijn, of de diverse ervaringen waar Paulus over schrijft)
Onzekerheden in onszelf kunnen aan het licht komen, en we kunnen kiezen om het proces te stoppen. Maar als je er wel voor gaat dan zie je dat God deel wordt van een verborgen deel van je leven! Dan weet je dat het ONMOGELIJK is om er NIET mee te koken!
